Acrylic work

The year seven students design a handle for a cheese slicer using plasticine to study the contours of their hands. This helps them to better understand the ergonomics applied to items that we use. They finally make the handle out of acrylic looking at all the properties of the material as they go. The handle is fitted to a cheese knife blade.


















As some students have had siblings doing the same course the course was modified to include pâté knives and a platter with a small bowl
