Yr 7 Cheese knife and platter

The Year 8 students only have 10 weeks where they have INTAD for 3 periods a week. Their project is usually set and they follow the design sequence to land up with a basic design. Sometimes students come up with their own idea and take it through the design process then make it.

Year 10 students have the opportunity to apply the skills that they developed in Yr 9. The Bandsaw is always an area that allows for some creative work.

Year 9 students +- 13 years old. 2014

As we are a new secondary school in the Whitsundays region of Qld, many students are learning the new skills and applying them to creative designs. The goal is to allow students  to work on various machines and power tools to develop skills that they can then apply to other situations later in their lives. It is wonderful that while doing so, they produce some amazing work. Some of the work shown
